Description
This is the forty-second destination in the collection of the series "Ragtime at the Red-Light District." This piece is set at Liege’s Rue du Champion.

The main character in this piece is a 30-year old goat yoga instructor. This person spends most of his time abroad and rarely stays in one place for more than four consecutive days. However, the main character enjoyed perfecting goat yoga in Belgium, and decided to take the craft to the people. That journey included a nine-day stay in Liege, as the main character demonstrated his talent toward numerous crowds outside several places of interest, including the church of St. James and the Citadel de Liege. The main character even became a main attraction as it delayed the opening of what locals called the “Old Lady” – the cycling event of Liège–Bastogne–Liège. Finally, the main character even brought his goats at a pedestrian zone outside the city’s Opera House, where the main character, along with his goat, joined locals in eating bouquettes and drinking beer.

The main character was even pleased to hear that Stade Maurice Dufrasne was attending a Guinness world record for most goat yoga instructors inside a stadium, and decided to join in as well. After six hours of strenuous goat yoga, the main character decided to take an acrobatic stroll along the city streets. Right before an orange sunset came upon Liege, the main character arrived at Rue du Champion, where the person noticed many attractive and busy women.

Unfortunately, many of the women rejected the main character’s presence. However, the main character had his secret weapon of goats and with the trustworthy companions, the main character was able to pull off an impressive act. The performance was so memorable, that it caught the attention of one lucky woman: a flaxen and auburn-haired, green-eyed woman, who many residents described as the hardest woman to please. The main character did his part to excite the woman, and found more ways to excite the woman, beginning with chocolate-flavored beer and chocolate-covered Belgian waffles, and ending with both people holding hands at a busy shop in Rue du Champion.

This piece had a format of 4AA4B4CCADDCC. Anatoly Lyadov’s “Ballade” and Felix Mendelssohn’s “Venetian Boat Song” (Op. 30, No. 2) were the basis for the piece, the latter whose influence is evident in the C section. Also note that the D section is an eight-bar section.
