This piece has a format of 4AABB4CC4ADDAA, with the C-section a 20-bar section and the D-section an eight-bar section. Percy Wenrich's "A Southern Symphony" and Frederic Chopin's Nocturne in C-sharp minor (Op. Posthumous) were the basis for this piece.
