Description
This is the first destination in the collection of the series "Ragtime at the Red Light District." This piece is set at Nijmegen's Stieltjesstraat.
The main character is a 27-year old amateur athlete who specializes in many sports. The person made his first visit to the Netherlands and decided to partake in many activities. After visiting the famous Nijmegen Bridge and Velorama, the main character rowed on the River Waal and biked inside Stadion de Goffert. The main character was even fortunate to have arrived at the time of Nijmeegse Vierdaagse, which is Dutch for the International Four Days March.
However, the main character has never found adventure when it comes to women as he sought more adventures, albeit more figuratively. That was until the main character arrived at dusk to Stieltjesstraat via power walk to see the city's red-light district revitalized and reborn and there he tests his confidence by seeing the many beautiful women that make the area buzzing.
The main character gets caught up in the excitement of the activity the street has to offer. So the main character, often exercising alone in athletics, became a very active person with numerous women, while still respecting their wishes and desire and not pushing boundaries.
This piece has a format of 4AABBACC4DDAA. Scott Joplin was the primary basis for this piece, as four of his works provided the inspiration: "Eugenia," "Swipsey Cakewalk," "Euphonic Sounds" and "Original Rags."
